The seven niches of the Umbra
The Umbra lives beneath Carmel, hidden from the Institution of Faith. It is divided into seven niches, each with a color, a symbol, and a leader on the Council. Each niche keeps a part of what the Institution forbade.

Defectio
It founded the Umbra alongside the Redemptio, in the sixteenth century, to be its sword. It was expelled from the Council in 1789, after the Last Collusion, and no one knows where it is. It prays to Zazgaha, an ancient god of black fire.
It has no color. It takes no applicants.
